Banchetto Musicale Sampling Library
Please read
""
Thank You for your interest in our Banchetto Musicale.

Please read the first steps chapter of this readme document before setting up the sampler sounds with your Sampler.

The Showcase links will introduce You to the Banchetto Musicale product pages in the Internet. Furthermore you can visit an introductin to our Soundbytes Carillon and Early Patches sampling libraries.
A couple of free high quality sound sets taken from these libraries are available through the download pages of the sites.

If anything in this product should not meet your expectations then please don't hesitate to let me know about it. Even good things can still be made better and your input is our guidance to accomplishing this aim.

The free Instruments

Krumhorn Alt:

The Alto Krumhorn has been taken from the complete Krumhorn consort that is part of the Banchetto Musicale sampling library. This consort consists of four instruments: soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
Each instrument  has been sampled with two different articulations: staccato and legato.
Please note that the free Krumhorn Alt patch features the staccato articulation only.

Woodblocks

Although this sample set is very small in size it has a very realistic touch.  the Woodblocks set consists of 60 different samples which are grouped in six velocity layers.

Zither eco

The eco label of this 10 MB Zither patch stands for economical memory usage. The stereo samples are looped to save RAM space and multiple velocity layers are not used here.
The full Zither patches (100 MB) on the Banchetto Musicale DVD use four  velocity layers and full length samples.  The here included Zither Strum patch features several strums of the drone strings. These again are velocity switched.

For a complete list of Instruments in the Banchetto Musicale sampling library please visit the instruments page in the internet.

First steps:

At first unpack the zip archive to any directory on your computers hard disk. when doing this make sure to keep the directory structure intact.
Otherwise the samples might not be found when the sound is loaded into the sampler.

 GigaStudio users

save the *.gig file to your sample drive. After rebuilding the QuickSound Database the tiny Carillon is available from within the Giga Studio Browser window.
To do this select Settings from the side bar and then the QuickSound tab. Click the Rebuild Database button and lean back.
(Alternatively You can load the gig files from the file menu or by dragging it from the windows file browser into the GigaStudio program window.)

Users of  Kontakt, Halion, Exs24 or Virtual Sampler:

please copy the contents of the Zip-Archiv to your computers hard drive and load the sound program into the Sampler.

Kontakt *.nki
Halion: *.fxp
virtual Sampler:      *.vs3
Exs24: *.exs

please note that some samplers are capable of loading or importing foreign formats. For best results make sure that the correct format is used.

You will now be asked to locate the samples manually. After this is done save the bank or program file to make sure that the new location of the samples is remembered.

The Exs24 is a bit particular in this respect. It will automatically search all your hard drives if it does not find the sample data in the specified path. After the samples are located the patch files are automatically updated with the new sample file path.
Note: Depending on the size of your hard drives this process can take quite a while and unfortunately it can not be canceled once it has started. So make sure You don't have an impatient customer sitting next to You when You use the Soundbytes Carillon (or any other Soundbank) for the first time with the Exs24.
We recommend the use of the Redmatica ExsManager for the sample management with the Exs24. For windows users there is an older version of the software available for free.
